On set dressing and bedazzled denim.
A mixed bag of styles I'm loving and shopping this season.
Friends, this edition is a bit of a mishmash, much like my brain right now! (On a personal note, life went to absolute sh*t these past few weeks with a truly ~unprecedented~ amount of emergencies so I’m turning to my usual escapism [shopping] and using this issue as the outlet.)
Anyway, hope you find something you like within!
In news to absolutely no one, I love two-piece sets.
Matching co-ords make for the easiest decision when it comes to getting dressed. Not only are they super simple to pull on, they seem to be imbued with a sense of ease — something you carry when you wear them.
I always feel comfortable and cool in a set, maybe because I didn’t have a chance to overthink my outfit. The pieces are impactful in themselves, so it really comes down to the accessories, and I usually keep those very low-key too: flip-flops, slouchy bags, oversized sunnies.
These also tend to be the outfits I receive the most compliments on (ease = confidence = conviction.)
I think we’ve long moved past the comparison to pyjamas. Set-dressing is now so legitimised, most e-commerce sites have a dedicated co-ords category… and this is usually where I go to first when scrolling.
In summer, it’s all striped shirts with shorts and little linen two-piece looks. But now we get to play with cosy knit styles, longer sleeves and pants, as well as great structured denim sets.
On the dressier side, there’s a big appetite at the moment for longline tunics over gauzy flared pants, and silky two-piece sets that don’t require much extra styling. Again - EASE.
Call me lazy, but this vibe is all I want to wear right now.

If you follow me on Instagram you might’ve seen me post this amazing fringed satin scarf by Tendresse, a brand that specialises in divine handmade silk bags.
I’m having fun styling it different ways — including a more experimental take around the hips to record the podcast this week. Funny how a little bit of movement and texture can elevate a very basic look.
Wish list accessories.
After a summer of bold jewellery and colourful woven bags, my taste has done a full 180 and I’m leaning into more polished, minimal accent pieces.
Here are a few picks that meet the brief.
Clockwise L-R: Luv Lou The Dionne, Assembly Label marion Leather Ballet Flat, St Agni Cylinder Sling Bag, Cendre stud earrings and drop earrings, Friends With Frank The Yuki Scarf.
Micro obsession: Dialled-up denim.
This season we’re seeing jeans go full Americana.
Studs, rhinestones and western-inspired stitching make your daily denim feel fresh and fun again. If you’re already experiencing jean fatigue (two days of winter down, folks!), one of these pairs might be the solution.
